Springtime at Niagara Parks offers endless opportunities to get outdoors and explore. We celebrate the beauty of nature across our 56-kilometre parkland. It connects each of us. In spring, everything comes alive, making it the perfect time to re-energize by taking a step outside, getting a breath of fresh air and enjoying the splendor of the season.
Here are a few of our favourite ways to take advantage of all the spring season has to offer.
Floral Showhouse
Step inside our Floral Showhouse to catch a glimpse of what’s in bloom at Niagara Parks! Delight in gigantic spheres of hydrangeas in a spectacular display of reds, pinks, blues and white. An iconic favourite, the first hydrangea show opened in 1947, making this our longest running exhibit.
Whirlpool Aero Car
Begin your springtime adventure by soaring high above the Niagara Gorge. Suspended from six sturdy cables, the Whirlpool Aero Car offers a spectacular view of the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the Class 6 whitewater rapids of the Niagara River. It’s a thrilling ride you won’t soon forget!
A Round of Golf
If you have a golfer in the family, you may want to include a round of golf at one of our incredible championship courses, this spring! Our Legends on the Niagara facility boasts two championship courses, a par-3 executive course and a 360° driving range. Here, you’ll also find our state-of-the-art training academy and a spectacular clubhouse.
Just off the Niagara River Parkway, our Whirlpool Golf Course, designed by Stanley Thompson, is one of Canada’s most highly rated and renowned public golf courses. It is in a spectacular setting with the Niagara River Whirlpool and Gorge as your backdrop.
Journey Behind the Falls
Your adventure isn’t quite complete without a visit to our flagship attraction, Journey Behind the Falls. You and your family will be exhilarated as you stand directly in front of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. When you arrive, you’ll descend 125 feet to explore 130-year-old tunnels through the bedrock, feeling the thunderous vibration of the falls long before you see them! This is where your adventure truly begins!
Dinner by the Falls
After exploring Niagara Parks by day, nourish yourself with an incredible dinner at Table Rock House Restaurant. Sitting next to the brink, with floor to ceiling windows, enjoy a locally sourced, internationally inspired menu with the breathtaking Niagara Falls as your backdrop. Just when you thought that was it, watch as the falls is transformed into an incredible, multi-coloured water and light masterpiece beginning at dusk. It’s a perfect way to salute the day!
