Winter Festival of Lights

The annual Winter Festival of Lights is presented by the Ontario Power Generation across Niagara Parks and features millions of dazzling lights throughout Dufferin Islands, Queen Victoria Park and surrounding tourist districts. Founded in 1982, the festival is the largest of its kind in Canada attracting over 1.8 million visitors annually. Witness Niagara Falls transform into a breathtaking palette of colours with brilliant animated lights and interactive displays from November to January.

Annual Poinsettia Show

A family holiday tradition for over 65 years, Niagara Parks’ Annual Poinsettia Show features cyclamen, azaleas, Christmas cactus and paperwhite narcissus in addition to a spectacular display of festive poinsettias. Enjoy the Annual Poinsettia Show at the Floral Showhouse from November to January.

New Year’s Eve

Ring in the new year in Niagara Falls with the Horseshoe Falls as your spectacular backdrop at one of Canada’s longest-running New Year’s Eve celebrations! With special performances by notable Canadian talent, this free outdoor event features two fireworks displays, a licensed area and delicious dining options offered by Niagara Parks Culinary. Available only for the duration of the Winter Festival of Lights, our exclusive holiday offer at the all-new Table Rock House Restaurant will keep you warm with hot drinks and delicious holiday-themed desserts, including a rich spiced chocolate torte with a delicious Wayne Gretzky 99 Whisky eggnog filling. Falls Fireworks

See the winter night light up with a spectacular fireworks show. Celebrating 26 years, Canada’s longest-running fireworks series features more than 100 annual displays over the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Winter shows begin at 9 p.m. on Fridays with daily holiday shows scheduled during the last week of December and the first week of January.

Falls Illumination

Witness the Horseshoe Falls as a brilliantly illuminated, multi-coloured masterpiece. This year-round light display can be viewed from Queen Victoria Park every evening beginning at dusk.
