Niagara Falls, ON – Ahead of the upcoming tourism season, Niagara Parks will be undertaking improvements within Queen Victoria Park that will require temporary short duration lane closures. The work will address key infrastructure repairs required within the popular tourism area.

Construction will begin on April 22 at the WEGO Bus Stop in front of Queen Victoria Place, as well as repairs to curbs near the corner of Murray Hill and Niagara Parkway. A temporary bus stop will be established south of the existing stop to maintain bus operations. Southbound traffic on the Niagara River Parkway will be reduced to one lane from the Murray Hill to just south of the existing WEGO stop. This temporary lane reduction will be in place between 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday, from April 22 until May 3.

Along Upper Rapids Boulevard, lane reductions in both directions will be in place to accommodate catch basin and curb repairs from April 15 to May 10. Traffic flow will be maintained in both directions during construction. Additional work will take place on the Niagara Parkway between Upper Rapids Boulevard and Kingsbridge Park, with flagging operations in place to accommodate the work.
