  • From Thursday, July 4 to Saturday, July 6, parts of the Niagara Parkway will be closed beginning at 7 p.m.
  • Scheduled road closures will provide a safer and more enjoyable environment for guests.

Niagara Falls, ON – In anticipation of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend, Niagara Parks announces planned road closures within the core area of Queen Victoria Park on Thursday, July 4, Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6, 2024.

The Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicular traffic from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill, beginning at 7 p.m. with a full road closure in place by 8 p.m. during the scheduled dates. The Niagara Parkway will fully reopen following the conclusion of the fireworks shows, scheduled for 10 p.m. each night.

Clifton Hill and Murray Street will remain open, and access to Niagara Parks’ Falls Parking Lot will continue from the south.

By closing these roadways to vehicular traffic, pedestrians will have better and safer access throughout the core tourism area during the holiday weekend. This will also help Niagara Parks Police Service manage the area and provide controlled access for emergency services.

The scheduled road closures will be implemented at the discretion of the Niagara Parks Police Service and may be adjusted as required. In the case of inclement weather or visitation levels being less than anticipated, the road closures may be modified or cancelled.

During the road closures, the WEGO Green line will continue to operate from Rapidsview to Table Rock. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the many parking lots in the area, especially Niagara Parks’ Rapidsview Parking Lot that offers $10 parking with a shuttle ride to and from Table Rock Centre.

Service delays and disruptions should be expected for any routes travelling through the tourism area. For up to the minute bus arrival information please download and refer to the “TRANSIT APP.”
