Niagara Parks offers something for everyone this coming holiday weekend, from interactive educational exhibits and Easter-themed floral displays, to award-winning locally sourced brunch menus served up by Niagara Parks’ renowned culinary team.
Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse
Spring has officially sprung! In addition to the beautiful springtime blooms currently on display, Niagara Parks staff will be incorporating classic Easter favourites into the seasonal design. Festive spring lilies, as well as other colourful and fragrant flowers such as hyacinths, azaleas, tulips and daffodils will also be integrated into the display. Another time-honoured tradition at the Floral Showhouse will be the addition of live chicks and bunnies throughout the weekend.
Located just outside the Floral Showhouse throughout the beautifully manicured grounds and gardens, guests will find the captivating outdoor art installation, Life on Display. Featuring repurposed pieces acquired from the Durham region’s former Cullen Miniature Village collection. The installation includes a series of miniature Muskoka cottages and a replica vintage train, all displaying a level of detail that must be seen to be fully appreciated.

Wild Ontario Exhibit
Visit the Wild Ontario exhibit at the newly renovated Butterfly Conservatory, where wildlife educators from Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo will be on-site to answer questions and provide guests the opportunity to interact with several native species, including a barn owl, baby skunk, porcupine, wood turtle, grey tree frog, yellow spotted salamanders and more. Admission to the exhibit is included with admission to the Butterfly Conservatory, where over 2,000 tropical butterflies, will amaze and delight the child in us all. Signs of Spring Scavenger Hunt
While visiting the Conservatory, children will be encouraged to look for “signs” of spring hidden throughout the tropical paradise, which contain the clues to help solve the riddle. Each participant will receive a complimentary treat courtesy of generous sponsors Jelly Belly and Falls Wholesale Limited.

Free Interactive Heritage Display at Table Rock
Niagara Parks Heritage staff will host a free hands-on display at Table Rock Centre’s Grand Hall over the weekend. Dress up as a British or American soldier for a fun photo opportunity and learn about the fascinating stories and key moments in our collective history, such as the efforts of the “Famous Five” who were instrumental in earning women the right to vote in Canadian general elections in 1918. To honour the 100th anniversary of this significant milestone, visitors will be able to try their hand at operating a circa 1920s printing press and take home their own printed quote related to this crucial step toward equality for all Canadians.
