This August 6 to 21, be part of Canada’s largest multi-sport event and celebrate the next generation of national, international and Olympic and Paralympic champions at the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Watch as Canada’s top young athletes compete and showcase a remarkable heritage of hard work and innovation in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations. Consisting of more than 5,000 athletes and coaches, the Games will feature a total of 18 sports, including the return of lacrosse after a 36-year absence and the first-ever rugby sevens competition.

13 for 13 Festival

Hosted in collaboration with Niagara’s 13 municipalities, the 13 For 13 Cultural Festival, part of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games, will showcase the unique cultural heritage, entertainment, art and culinary experiences of Canada’s 13 provinces and territories. Experience the rich cultures of each province and territory, while also travelling across Canada without leaving Niagara!

Niagara Parks will host two of these free events featuring entertainment, music and fireworks:

Friday, August 12, 2022 · 7 - 9 p.m. Town of Fort Erie and Novia Scotia at Old Fort Erie Saturday, August 13, 2022 · 7 - 10 p.m. Niagara Falls and Northwest Territories at Queen Victoria Park

Closing Ceremonies

The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games will conclude with a closing ceremony at Queen Victoria Park.

Along with another “Parade of Teams” and a set of speakers highlighted by the Premier of Ontario, this free event will feature the extinguishment of the Canada Games cauldron, bringing an end to the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Representatives of the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games will also be present to accept the traditional handover of the Official Canada Games Flag, paying tribute to the next Canada Games that will be taking place just six months from that night.
