Spanning a dazzling eight-kilometre stretch along the Niagara Parkway, this iconic festival weaves a magical spell, adorning trees, landscapes and the Falls themselves with millions of glistening, multi-coloured lights. Be captivated by the artistry of breathtaking displays as you stroll along illuminated paths, inspired by nature and created with eco-friendly LED technology.

Begin your journey at Grand View Marketplace for an unforgettable welcome by the illuminated Falls. Be captivated by the brilliant installations that creating an atmosphere of pure enchantment. From sparkling holiday decor to dazzling light displays, every corner of Grand View Marketplace is illuminated with the festive spirit.

Just down the road toward the Niagara Parks Police building, be sure to check out a feature installation of a mother swan and her babies in a pond!

 

 

Queen Victoria Place

Explore a winter wonderland at Queen Victoria Place!

With the majestic Falls a stunning backdrop, the park is transformed into an enchanting realm that will warm your heart and fuel your imagination. Meander through fanciful winter sets and play amongst giant illuminated moose, polar bears and more interactive installations.

Feel the holiday spirit come to life in every corner of Queen Victoria Place. Then, warm up with a hot beverage at Queen Victoria Place Café or browse the Queen Victoria Place Gift Shop nearby.

Featured installations: 

  • Optik, created by The Urban Conga in collaboration with Serge Maheu, produced by Init and tour produced by Creos
  • Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0, created by Esrawe+ Cadena and tour produced by Creos
  • Impulse, created by Lateral Office and CS Design, a production of Quartier des Spectacles Partnership and distributed by QDSinternational. Impulse will be available:
    • November 18-December 22: Thursday to Sunday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm
    • December 23-January 7: nightly from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (closed December 25)

Set against the backdrop of the majestic Canadian Horseshoe Falls is Table Rock Centre, filled with a number of brilliant displays that set the stage for the perfect selfie. Don’t miss the joy of this enchanting stop along the route.

Dufferin Islands

Explore 10 acres of nature-themed displays inspired by this natural paradise. Whether you drive through or decide to park your car and explore by foot, this magical area is a key highlight for the whole family.

Night Lighting at the Floral Showhouse

Floral Showhouse

Step into the warmth of Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse for the Annual Poinsettia Show. Whimsical and inviting, you’ll find beautiful cyclamen, amaryllis, orchids and at the centre of attention, poinsettias!

Enjoy a special photo opportunity with Santa Claus and Winter Festival of Lights goodwill ambassadors, the Misty Kids, on select dates throughout the festival:

Santa Claus:

  • December 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 –  6:00 to 8:00 PM

Misty Kids:

  • November 18, 2023 to January 6, 2024 – Friday and Saturday nights from 4:00 to 8:00 PM
  • December 22 to December 30, 2023 (excluding December 24 & 25) – Nightly from 4:00 to 8:00 PM

Visit the Sandie Bellows Plaza, in front of the Niagara Parks Power Station, for some festive photo opportunities and must-see interactive exhibits. While you’re there, play the piano…with your feet! Night Lights at the Niagara Parks Power Station

Hot Chocolate Trail

Warm up with a hot beverage as you explore the Winter Festival of Lights!

The self-guided Hot Chocolate Trail will lead you to delicious stops of chocolatey concoctions created by chocolatiers, chefs and mixologists at some of Niagara’s top restaurants and bake shops, including Niagara Parks’ Table Rock House Restaurant.

This year’s feature is a salted caramel hot chocolate made with Wayne Gretzky’s Salted Caramel Cream Whiskey, topped with whipped cream and hazelnut praline. A non-alcoholic option is also available. 

Available only for the duration of the Winter Festival of Lights, our exclusive features will perfectly complement your festival experience! Try them before they’re gone for good!

Where to Park & How to Get Around

Transportation within Niagara Parks and around the tourist areas of Niagara Falls is made simple with a number of available options. From the fully accessible WEGO bus system to convenient parking options, transportation throughout Niagara Parks has never been easier.

PAID PARKING

Paid parking is available across from Table Rock Centre and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Paid parking is also available at the Floral Showhouse, Queen Victoria Place and Rapidsview parking lots.

WEGO TRANSPORTATION

The fully accessible, hop-on, hop-off WEGO transportation system is your ticket to easily getting around the Winter Festival of Lights. With stops at major display areas and lines that connect to other key destinations in Niagara, it all comes together at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and Table Rock Centre.
