The Opportunity

Niagara Parks has officially launched the call for proposals process for a new visitor transportation system that will enhance the guest experience while linking Niagara Parks sites and experiences throughout the core tourism area of Queen Victoria Park.

Request for Proposals

Niagara Parks has officially launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) process, looking to the private sector to bring innovative and sustainable ideas for a new visitor transportation system that will link Niagara Parks sites and attractions, while also enhancing the overall experience of our guests. This procurement is classified as a revenue generating opportunity (RGO) for Niagara Parks, whereas the successful proponent would design, build, finance, operate and maintain a new visitor transportation system under a long-term lease agreement with Niagara Parks.

Relevant Plans and Studies

The new visitor transportation system will align with the principles of Niagara Parks’ historic mandate as the environmental and cultural stewards of the Niagara River corridor and the Niagara Parks Act, as well as more recent plans and studies including Niagara Parks’ 10-year Strategic Plan, the Queen Victoria Park Master Plan (2018) and the Connectivity Study that was completed by the City of Niagara Falls (2022) that examined future needs for visitor movement within the destination.
